Will the JPG keep the photo's quality?
Choose the quality in Options. At 90% the difference from the original is practically invisible; the JPG is usually somewhat larger than the HEIC.
Can I convert Live Photos?
The still image of a Live Photo is a HEIC and converts normally. The short video part is a separate MOV file, which you can convert to MP4 or GIF.
