No upload.
No data processor.

When a file never leaves the device, there's no transfer to document, no data-processing agreement to sign and no retention period to audit.

What actually happens

The browser downloads the converter code (and, for some formats, a WebAssembly engine) from this site. The file is read from disk into the tab's memory, converted, and saved back to disk. The file's content and name are never transmitted.

What is sent

After a successful conversion the page sends one anonymous request with “+1” and the file size, which feeds the public counter. Your IP address is kept for up to two minutes for rate limiting, then discarded. Optional analytics are described on the privacy page.

Verify it yourself

Open the developer tools in your browser, switch to the Network tab and convert a file. You'll see the code and engine downloads and one small counter request — and no request carrying your file.

Questions

Can I use it in a regulated environment?

It's suited to it, but your compliance team decides. The privacy page lists every request the site makes so it can be assessed.

Does it work without internet?

Once the page and the needed engine have loaded, conversions themselves don't use the network.
